I can't wait to see what everyone made! Just a quick recap: each participant was sent a bead kit with cultured seaglass and czech glass in shades of blue, yellow and green. Blue for the sky, yellow for the sun and green for the grass and leaves. Participants were instructed to make beady creations using their kit beads, and other items in their bead stash (if they so chose).
What did I make for the hop? A necklace and earring set! I used pretty faceted crystal beads - large clear rounds and small peridot green rounds. I also incorporated Czech glass sky blue faceted beads and tiny yellow accents. Silver plated discs frame the blue beads and add some interest. My inspiration was the morning dew on the leaves, which picks up shimmers of green and blue. I call this set "Morning Dew."
