Pine Ridge Treasures' Gentle Spring Blog Hop

Welcome to the 2016 Pine Ridge Treasures' Gentle Spring Blog Hop!

I can't wait to see what everyone made!  Just a quick recap: each participant was sent a bead kit with Czech glass in pink or purple tones, as well as thin cotton or linen orchid colored cord.  Participants were instructed to make beady creations using their kit beads, and other items in their bead stash (if they so chose).

What did I make for the hop? I was all ready to create a pink necklace for Spring when I got a burst of inspiration.  It has been a rainy April.  I was looking outside at all of the puddles in the street when I saw the purple/lilac and green sheen on the water. I knew I had to create a necklace with these colors and some sparkle.  I found some large crystal cubes that look purple and green, depending on the light. I added in glass pearls and some silver plated spacers, as well as lilac glass teardrops. (All beads except teardrops are by ZnetShows). I call it "After the rain."

Now, please check out all of the jewelry awesomeness created by the blog hop participants:

  1. Thank you Lisa for another fun challenge. Your necklace is lovely. "After the Rain" is very fitting for the gentle spring theme.

  2. Lovely necklace! The colors on the big crystals are great. It looks like that here today - it rained and there is a wonderful feeling of spring in the air. Thanks for another great hop, Lisa! :)

  3. Oh I love those cubes. Your necklace is gorgeous, and thank you for hosting the hop :-)

  4. Just gorgeous, I love that coating on the crystals. And thank you for another great hop.
