Pine Ridge Treasures Checkerboard Blog Hop

Congratulations to Stephanie McGinley!  She is the winner of the Checkerboard Blog Hop Giveaway

This is going to be a great hop! I love red and black as a color palette.

The talented participants had two kits to choose from - one containing a mix of cultured seaglass and Tiaria crystal, the other a mix of cultured seaglass and glass pearls. They were asked to create jewelry or other art using as many beads from the kit as possible.  The majority of these beautiful beads were from ZnetShows.  Check out their  selections: ZnetShows Cultured Seaglass, ZnetShows Tiaria Crystal  and ZnetShows Plated Metal

I ended up selling all the kits I had for the hop, and neglected to keep one for me.  I like to participate in the hops, so I made a red and black themed necklace and earring set with Czech glass.  Not the same beads as in the kits, but the same color palette!

It just would not be a blog hop without a giveaway, right?  Leave a comment (by midnight EST February 14th) on this post and let me know what color palette is your favorite for making jewelry. I will draw a name on February 15th. The winner will receive a bead package from me full of special goodies!

Without further ado, here are the participants:

  2. What a lovely set. Perfect for Valentines's Day! I just made lots of jewelry in the same palette of red, black, and white. My favorite combination, though, is green, blue, and purple. Seems like that is a favorite combo for others, too. What a fun hop!

  4. My favorite color palette is blue, aqua and green. Purple also works well with the blue and aqua.

  5. I love your designs! You always put together the best and most creative blog hops! I love to use copper and brass in my designs but when I use color I tend to use light blue, sage green and brown combos. Thanks for the giveaway!

  9. Beautiful necklace and earrings :-) Red and black are such great colors together, and I like how it's lightened up by the clear as well.

  10. I love the red and black combo as well, and your pieces are beautiful! There is no color palette I don't like, but I do find that bright primary colors always elicit a wow from me when I see them used in jewelry. Thanks so much for your wonderful challenges. This one was a lot of fun, and I really loved the kit!

  12. My favorite color combo has to be chocolate and teal though I noticed I haven't been using it a lot. Red and black isn't one that I have tried out at all though I like your jewelry set especially as it is lightened up by the crystal.

  16. I also admit to being a 'red-a-holic' 😍. So, I am loving your 'mostly red' design, Lisa! Those chunky rectangles really pop with the black spacers. Thank you for creating another wonderful challenge! Ok, I am off to hop amongst the other bloggers!
