Welcome to the "Into the Forest Blog Hop"! I can't wait to see what these talented ladies made! Just a quick overview: each participant was sent a bead kit with "Forest Inspired" beads and/or pendants. Participants were instructed to use these components in conjunction with other beads on their bead table (but not to purchase new beads).
What did I make for the hop? I would like to share a necklace that I call "Amazon Rainforest". The dark green mountain jade rounds reminded me of lush greenery in the rainforest, and the clear beads reminded me of raindrops.
Now, please check out all of the jewelry awesomeness created by the participants:

So elegant, Lisa... wonderful to see the rainforest was a source of inspiration for you as well!
ReplyDeleteAs usual, it was a challenge!!! Thanks again for a fun kit Lisa!
ReplyDeleteI love the dark jade with the clear beads. Your necklace is stunning?
ReplyDeleteJust getting started - awesome way to start the day! (BusCarol@aol.com)
ReplyDeleteGreat hop, Lisa! I haven't had time to leave comments yet, but a quick peek at everyone's posts shows a wide range of techniques and some really fun pieces.
ReplyDeleteOh, there is nothing more than to have a peak through others stashes! When I am visting friends who also create (whatever!) I just want to have a look at their treasures. ^^ My favorite kind of jewelery that I make are earrings. This may be due to the fact that I am mostly only wearing earrings. Working in a research lab taught me not to wear rings, bracelets or necklaces. Mostly because I had to put them off and forgot them quite often :( My style is a little bit tribal, I am loving organic textures and patterns and sometimes just to be a little bit weird or odd. I am not sure whether this counts as a style but it definitely is a describtion what I am drawn to :)

Lisa, your necklace is beautiful - Amazon Rainforest is the perfect name for it!! Thank you for hosting another fun challenge - I always enjoy your hops!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful necklace Lisa. So classy. Thanks so much for being the wonderful hostess that you are. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for another great hop- love the symmetry of this. Christie
ReplyDeleteGreat hop and I love your rain forest necklace...I can so see the rain drops.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful multi-strand - love the colours!
ReplyDeleteThanks for yet another wonderful challenge ~ as usual I had the fun of my life :)
As for the style of jewelry: for me it's wire or metal-based; I am not sure I figured out my style yet: organic, not following any rules, and whatever pleases me at the moment. :) I need someone to define it for me!
Beautiful necklace. Perfect deep, rich green. Thank you for organizing a fun hop.
ReplyDeleteWell Lisa, I can't let this go by. Lovely necklace and I love the name. My favorite style of beading is Bead Embroidery. I feel like a painter with a wonderful palette of colors to complete my canvas. Don't get me wrong, I can string and make components, but bead embroidery is my chosen form.

My favorite style is bohemian. Must be because of the decade I was in college. No matter my age, I still love the style!
ReplyDeleteYour necklace is beautiful and now I'm going to look at all the links. Fun!
What a gorgeous necklace! I just love the blend of the deep green with the clear and silver. So in love.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing to make have to be necklaces. I think it is because I don't have to stress as much if it will fit so I can just let my muse go wild.
A perfectly chosen name, Rainforest. Peaceful and inspiring... a lovely combination with the blog button too (-:
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful necklace Lisa - the colors are so striking, and the style would be beautiful at a formal event. Thanks so much for being such a gracious host! :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't get a chance to sign up for this blog hop but hope I will get a chance to join in the future. I like to design jewelry with a modern twist.
ReplyDeleteAnother delightful blog hop, Lisa. Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteLush and elegant -- so very lovely!
ReplyDeleteOh Lisa, it's beautiful!! I love the pattern-- brilliant, rich, gorgeous stringing! I came soo close to stringing too this hop -- I love it! I think stringing is actually the most challenging of all jewelry designs because the artist must create with color & pattern & material -- not just a technique that comes across flashy but doesn't really demand serious art, you know? BRAVO! Thanks for hosting another great hop!
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa, thank you for hosting another fun blog hop.
ReplyDeleteAnd what a lovely necklace.
Thanks for a great hop lisa. You made a beautiful necklace
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty necklace. I love the darkness of the dark green jade. Really looks like a lush forest. And the clear remind me of the dew that might fall on the leaves of the forest. Very pretty. Right now, I'm really into learning to saw, rivet and solder so I'm trying to make focals/beads with those qualities and I seem to be drawn to making sets. I.E. Necklace, earrings and bracelet to match. Love a chance to win.
ReplyDeleteThank you Lisa for letting me participate on this hop.
ReplyDeleteYour necklace is simple, yet elegant.
My favorite is woven pieces, I like intricate pieces.

The necklace is so pleasing to the eye. . . .although there's a big contrast, it doesn't feel that way. It blends beautifully. Boy, picking a style for me is difficult. On one day, nothing but copper and peace signs will do; another day it could be a must for Swarovski crystals! lol If I had to narrow it down I would say contemporary tribal/ethnic/bohemian. :) Thanks Lisa for all you do!
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely necklace Lisa I'm inspired to join in your next hop
ReplyDeleteLove your necklace. Thanks for being such a great hostess.
ReplyDeleteI like to string classic necklaces and matching earrings.

Lisa, even though I didn't participate in the swap I really enjoyed visiting every blog. Viewing their interpretation of their visit to the forest. I even got chills viewing the winter forest pieces. I made the decision to make the effort and comment on as many as I could this evening. I even subscribed to almost all as well. I wanted to help support everyone who took the time, sleepless designing nights and racked brain moments. Thank you to each and everyone who participated. For the ones that have life interrupted, I look forward to your final designs. Thank you to Lisa as well. I'm already sketching what I will do for the Ocean hop, along with gathering, sorting and a few purchases along the way.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say thank you for your kind message on my blog. Take care.. ~ Diane
ReplyDeleteYour necklace is beautiful.
