Seasons Blog Hop July 6th, 2013 Sign Up Information

Announcing my biggest blog hop yet:  The "SEASONS" BLOG HOP - July 6th, 2013!

Number of participants: I am capping this hop at 35 people.

What is this hop about?  Participants will receive a packet containing $8.00 worth of the following in any combination: a pendant, art bead (s), findings, and beads from my bead table.  The idea is to take these and do one of two things:  1). Create jewelry that represents one of the four seasons of the year, or 2).  Create jewelry that represents a “season” in your life (e.g. college years, new motherhood, first love, etc). It would be fun if you included a little story/explanation for your selection, although this is NOT required.

Cost: $11.00 (Includes shipping to US)   For Canada – please add $1.50

No international participants this time.  L   Shipping is just too high now with the rate increases.

IMPORTANT SIGNUP INFO: Signup will be open from February 3rd to February 17th, 2013.  IMPORTANT NOTE: Packets will be sent out in staggered groupings, and will arrive no later than March 20th, 2013.

How to sign up:  Send me a private message on my Pine Ridge Treasures Facebook page that includes your paypal billing email, and your blog address.  These two items are mandatory, or I cannot sign you up.
Hope you can join this hop!!

Lucite and Clay Blog Hop Reveal and Giveaway!

Happy Groundhog Day!  It's time for the big reveal of the Lucite and Clay Blog Hop!

The participants were sent either a selection of vintage lucite beads, or a selection of handmade polymer clay beads by Patricia Handschuh.  (Patricia did not know until last week that her beads were being featured in this hop. I hope everyone will stop by and have a look at her wonderful Etsy store: The Color of Dreams.  Her beads are so pretty, and are very reasonably priced as well)!

A good deal of the vintage lucite I sent consisted of large beads in a variety of shapes.  I know that the participants were challenged, and I commend them for giving it a go.

I wanted to create something for this hop, so I decided to use some of Patricia's purple floral round beads to create a pair of Polynesian inspired earrings.  I had posted pictures below, but had to remove them because I got some happy news last night - they are going to be published in a magazine this Summer!  The publication requires that I remove photos of them from online galleries, etc.  So you will have to wait until this Summer to see them.

How about a fun giveaway!  Just leave one comment on this post (by midnight EST on February 8th, 2013) to be entered.  US/Canada only, please (the shipping rates are just too high for international, due to the recent rate hike).  If you would consider joining my blog as well, I would be pleased as punch!  What is the prize?  A bead mix consisting of some vintage lucite and a few of Patricia's lovely beads! I will draw a name on February 9th, 2013.  Please make sure I have some way to reach you.

Be sure to stop by all of the participants blogs and have a look at their beautiful jewelry creations!
